Under the confident leadership of chancellor and founder Dr. William Freed, Jr., Antietam Bible College opened its doors in 1976 as Broadfording Christian College. The college expanded in 1979 by opening Broadfording Biblical Seminary. Now known as Antietam Bible College, Biblical Seminary & Graduate School, ABC is a member of the Association of Christian Schools International, and is an affiliate institution of The Association for Biblical Higher Education (ABHE). As such, it participates in and contributes to collegial and professional development activities of the Association. Affiliate status does not, however, constitute, imply, or presume ABHE accredited status at present or in the future. Areas of study include: Bible, Christian Elementary Education, Church Education, Missions, and Pastoral Studies. The educational programs are designed to equip students to become pastors, or missionaries, or teachers in Christian schools, or Christian education directors, or church and para-church leaders. The college offers a variety of courses for young, older, and married students, a library, a student lounge, access to science and computer labs, summer school, evening and Saturday classes, life-experience credit and directed studies.
